  • Arranged for the installation of fractional T1 lines and dedicated ISDN lines for various clients. Installed and configured Cisco, MicroRouter, and Ascend routers for these circuits.

    Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the support and administration of two HP9000 K400 servers running HP-UX 10.01.
  • Supervise and manage the System Operations staff of four Help Desk Administrators. Responsibilities include performance reviews, hiring of staff, and setting departmental priorities.

  • Established System Operations department and created departmental operating guidelines including network security, network administration, physical security, software licensing, and tape backup procedures.
  • Implemented Systems Helpdesk for purpose of providing increased end-user support. Developed Helpdesk Trouble Ticket application and instituted tracking procedures.

    Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the support and management of a Novell 3.12 LAN comprised of 650 Windows-based PCs, eleven file servers, and 650 end-users with real-time links to other PC LANs and external Host computers. Responsible for the support and management of a remote Novell 3.12 LAN comprised of 60 Windows-based PCs, two file servers, and 60 end-users with real-time links to other PC LANs and external Host computers.
  • Responsible for the budgeting, evaluation, installation, trouble-shooting, and upgrading of all Network and PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Supervised and managed the Novell Operations staff of three PC Technicians at two sites. Responsibilities included performance reviews, hiring of staff, and setting departmental priorities. Acted as liaison between my department and upper management.

  • Designed and implemented a WAN comprised of thirteen file servers in two locations and linked to corporate WAN.
  • Created departmental operating guidelines including network security, software licensing, and tape backup procedures.
  • Implemented PC and NetWare connectivity to UNIX, IBM Mainframe, and AS 400 systems.
  • Co-implemented Systems Helpdesk for purpose of providing increase end-user support. Created interim helpdesk application using Microsoft Access and later implemented ARS Remedy helpdesk system.

  • Designed and implemented a WAN comprised of nine file servers in eight locations and linked to corporate WAN.
