What is Down?
Down is the soft, fluffy clusters which grow under the outer layer of breast feathers of geese and ducks to protect them from the extremely cold temperatures. Down is lighter and more flexible than feathers.
What factors determine the quality of a down comforter?

How do I care for my down comforter?
Use a duvet cover, also called a comforter cover, over your down comforter to protect the fabric from dirt and shield the seams from wear. "Fluff" or shake out your down comforter periodically. This lofts the fill, preventing matting and providing better insulation. "Air out" your comforter occasionally. Your down comforter should be dry cleaned every three to five years if a comforter cover (duvet) is used to protect it.Comforter:
