  • St. Baldricks Foundation
The mission of St. Baldricks Foundation is to raise awareness and funds to Conquer Kids' Cancer by shaving heads on St. Baldrick's Day (the day after St. Patrick's Day). If you'd like to find out more about St. Baldricks please visit their website. And if you happen to be near one of the shaving locations on St. Baldrick's Day, you should drop in to support the shavees and shavers. Heck you can even get your head shaved! ;-)

On a personal note, I almost shaved my head a few times during Alex's treatment, especially during her first transplant, but Andrea told me that I don't have an attractive head for shaving! I should probably explain why. I have a hole (more like an indentation) in the back of my head, where my skull didn't come together properly. You can't see it through my hair, but you can feel it and it creeps her out. Seeing it would only make it worse. Plus she already has to deal with the two webbed toes on my left foot, but that's another story! ;-)
